Objective
A three-day course on practical aspects of piping and pipeline design, integrity, maintenance and repair. The participants will be able to recognize causes of degradation in-service, whether mechanically induced (pressure, vibration, fatigue, pressure transients and external damage) or due to corrosion (wall thinning, pitting and cracking) and apply integrity analysis techniques to make run-or-repair decisions. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will gain
- Understanding of physical phenomena which affects the design of the piping systems
- Methods by which piping systems are fabricated, inspected and tested and the additional requirements which need to be in a fabrication/installation specifications to ensure adequate and proper installation
