Objective

Refrigeration is the process of transferring heat from air to make it cool. Refrigeration principles, such as vapor compression, heat absorption and cool air distribution, are introduced in this beginning refrigeration course. The Refrigeration training course series is intended for users who want to improve or acquire knowledge and skills in refrigeration basics and the refrigeration cycle. You will learn how theoretical refrigeration principles and laws knowledge are applied within the refrigeration industry. It will test your understanding of basic theory and the underlying principles behind refrigeration and air conditioning systems. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able

  • design and build refrigeration as well as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
  • wiring refrigerators, fixing electric motors and using equipment to test electrical problems in refrigeration systems
  • safe use of refrigerants, which are chemical compounds used in the refrigeration cycle
